About The Position

The Tailor/Fitter provides customers with high-quality service through skilled garment fitting and alterations. The role involves measuring customers, fitting garments, marking alterations, completing fittings and sewing work on time, and meeting productivity goals while following Nordstrom processes and service standards. The Tailor uses store technology to organize customer alteration needs, collaborates with the Alterations and Store teams, and professionally educates customers and employees about fit, style, garment construction, and trends.

Requirements

Previous fitting, tailoring, and sewing experience; a minimum of 2–3 years is preferred.
Clear and professional communication with coworkers and customers.
Ability to stay organized and prioritize multiple tasks and customer requests in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to learn and safely operate sewing and pressing machinery and standard alterations equipment.
Ability to work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
