About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Tactical Security Field Supervisor in Portland, Oregon. The supervisor works a 40-hour schedule: Thursday and Friday from 6 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and Saturday through Monday from 2 p.m. to 10:30 p.m. Compensation is $30.70 per hour. The role requires moving around and patrolling throughout the shift, observing the environment, anticipating risks, and responding appropriately. The supervisor represents the City of Portland, the SmartPark Garage system, Portland Downtown Heliport, and Streetcar Facilities while assisting downtown visitors. Security, military, or law enforcement experience is required.

Requirements

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to pass an extensive screening process.
• Security, military, or law enforcement experience is required.
• Valid driver's license.
• Clean driving record.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Ability to stand and walk for the entire shift.

Nice To Haves

• First aid certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Manage visitors and crowds, interact with people at street level, solve problems, and serve the public in a downtown urban environment.
• Prevent and defuse potentially volatile situations, handle potentially dangerous situations, and make sound use-of-force decisions.
• Engage safely and effectively with people participating in criminal behavior.
• Represent the City of Portland, SmartPark Garage system, Portland Downtown Heliport, and Streetcar Facilities as a goodwill ambassador by providing information and assistance to downtown visitors.
• Write incident reports suitable for inclusion in police reports and presentation in court proceedings.
• Provide testimony in criminal court and other legal proceedings.
• Work safely and competently alongside law enforcement officers during routine patrols, criminal investigations, and emergencies.
• Move around and patrol throughout the shift.
