About The Position

The Systems Support Analyst I – Plant Operations provides technical support for network communications across manufacturing plants. Support areas include LAN, WAN, SDWAN, VPN, and physical infrastructure such as cabling, switches, routers, access points, and firewalls. The analyst works closely with plant operations engineers and IT teams to support network services.

The role installs Cisco Meraki switches and Palo Alto firewalls and cross-trains on convergent server virtualization technologies running on Nutanix hardware. The project delivers these technologies to manufacturing plants worldwide and is expected to transition from a project-based rollout to long-term production support.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in an operations support role in enterprise environments with geographically dispersed locations.
• Experience supporting multi-site, high-availability networking solutions.
• Cisco, Nutanix, Windows Server/Hyper-V, or related industry certifications, either already held or obtained within 18 months of employment.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology or a related discipline is preferred.

Nice To Haves

• Working experience with Cisco Meraki, Palo Alto firewalls, long-range Ethernet, fiber connectivity, SDWAN, and Aryaka solutions.
• Prior use of Meraki Systems Manager, SolarWinds, and Palo Alto Panorama management suites.

Responsibilities

• Provide daily first-tier support for networking issues, including Meraki switches, Palo Alto firewalls, and cable or wiring issues.
• Monitor the health of systems within the area of responsibility.
• Analyze and troubleshoot problems, escalating or rerouting issues to more qualified experts as needed.
• Assist with the design and implementation of networking solutions.
• Proactively monitor network reliability KPIs and intervene to improve reliability when indicated by analysis.
• Identify opportunities to improve services and apply new ideas and networking technologies to meet or exceed business objectives.
• Manage vendor relationships as required by daily operations.
• Install Cisco Meraki switches and Palo Alto firewalls and cross-train on server virtualization technologies running on Nutanix hardware.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
