Northrop Grumman Space Systems – Central Region Software and E&P Engineering (Alabama region supporting MDI BU within Multi-Domain Operations Division) has an exciting career opportunity for a Systems Engineering Manager 1 located in Huntsville, AL. Position Overview: The selected Engineering Manager will provide Functional Management support for their organization within the Command and Battle Management, and Communications (C2BMC) program while maintaining a technical performance role currently in place on C2BMC.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics) discipline preferred from an accredited university and 5 years of related experience, or a Master's Degree and 3 years of related experience, or 1 years of experience with a PhD.
Applicants must have a technical performance role currently in place within the C2BMC program.
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to interface with all levels of employees and management.
An ability to operate in a team environment and collaborate across the organization as required to accomplish the team goals.
Previous experience in People and Technical Leadership roles.
Ability and willingness to travel up to 20% of the time to support business needs.
Applicants must have a current active in-scope DoD Secret Security Clearance.

Nice To Haves

Experience in technical leadership and guidance in a cyber, integration, software or systems engineering discipline
Proven technical management experience preferably in either program IPT, R&D or Advanced Systems, technology, and/ or functional environments
Experience effectively leading diverse technical teams across multiple locations
Previous Functional Management Experience
