About The Position

Accenture Federal Services is hiring a Systems Engineer to support NNSA OST. The role is responsible for the comprehensive operation, administration, and maintenance of physical and virtual server environments, with a focus on system performance, security, patch management, STIG hardening, and vulnerability remediation. The engineer will also support backup and recovery, database administration, storage allocation, restoration testing, and compliance practices.

Requirements

• Familiarity with VMware, Hyper-V, or other virtualization technologies.
• Experience with vulnerability management platforms and patch deployment solutions.
• Knowledge of compliance frameworks for maintaining secure and resilient systems.
• Exposure to database administration, including performance tuning, storage allocation, and restoration testing.
• Background in cybersecurity practices, backup operations, and disaster recovery planning.

Responsibilities

• Perform operations, administration, and maintenance (OA&M) for assigned physical and virtual servers and virtualization environments.
• Manage patch deployment, STIG hardening, and vulnerability remediation, including tracking Plans of Action and Milestones (POA&Ms).
• Administer, tune, and validate database backup and recovery processes.
• Oversee storage allocation, conduct backup operations, and perform restoration testing.
• Maintain server performance and security by addressing vulnerabilities and applying compliance frameworks.
