About The Position

The Systems Engineer Senior, also known as Server Operations Team Lead, oversees server operations and manages a team within IT infrastructure. The role plans, implements, and maintains information systems, hardware configurations, and software integrations to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The position is required to be in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and requires an active Secret security clearance and ITIL certification.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a Systems Administrator Senior within the last 5 years, preferably in a Federal Government environment.
• A MA/MS with at least 10 years of experience, or a BA/BS with at least 12 years of experience in IT/Telecommunications requirements.
• Strong technical skills in systems operations, hardware configuration, and software integration.
• Proficiency in device management through Active Directory, scripting, and VMware.
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills.
• Ability to perform requirements analysis and strategic planning.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• ITIL certification is required.
• Active Secret security clearance.
• Must be able to work in Albuquerque, NM.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the server operations team, providing training and guidance.
• Plan, test, and implement information systems to meet organizational needs.
• Configure hardware and integrate software applications.
• Manage devices using Active Directory and execute scripting tasks as required.
• Utilize VMware and manage multiple operating systems to ensure optimal performance.
• Perform requirements analysis and strategic planning for IT/Telecommunications needs.
• Communicate with technical and non-technical Federal and Contractor personnel.
