About The Position
Apogee is seeking a Systems Engineer, Consulting to support the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC). The role provides technical expertise in the application and advancement of Geospatial Intelligence (GEOINT), Measurement and Signature Intelligence (MASINT), and Foreign Materiel Exploitation (FME). NASIC discovers and characterizes air, space, missile, and cyber threats to support multi-domain operations, weapon system acquisition, and national defense policy. The position supports NASIC’s delivery of authoritative, engineering-level scientific and technical intelligence. This is a full-time, onsite opportunity at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (AFB), Ohio, contingent upon contract award. Occasional travel is required.
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. citizen.
- Must have and be able to maintain a Top Secret (TS) clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) adjudication.
- Ph.D. degree required.
- 15 or more years of experience supporting Department of Defense (DoD) and/or other government systems engineering.
- Experience with hardware, software, binary data structures, networking topology, and network protocols.
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, responsible team player who can work independently with minimal daily direction.
- Ability to work and interact with technically and organizationally diverse personnel.
Nice To Haves
- Experience supporting an Intelligence Community (IC) customer is highly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex project engineering and scientific teams across one or more disciplines.
- Perform research and development on Command and Control (C2) or Information Technology (IT) systems.
- Guide the design, modification, maintenance, and/or construction of specialized buildings, facilities, systems, and associated assets.
- Oversee evaluations of the feasibility, utility, implementation issues, and potential system or infrastructure development impacts of new technologies.
- Develop and present briefings to senior customer personnel.
