Systems & Application Engineer
About The Position
Elite Interactive Solutions is seeking a hands-on Systems & Application Engineer to implement business applications, support critical infrastructure, manage system integrations, and drive technology projects. The role works directly with the Director of Technology Projects and Programs and takes ownership of technical implementations, collaboration with external technology partners, and maintaining secure, reliable, efficient, and well-documented systems. The position combines strategic technology projects with hands-on troubleshooting across multiple technologies. The engineer will provide advanced technical support, lead application implementations and integrations, contribute to infrastructure and operational technology support, and help deliver technology initiatives from requirements through implementation. The role is onsite in Downtown Los Angeles, California, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM.
Responsibilities
- Provide senior-level technical support across Windows and Linux servers, networks, applications, and IT infrastructure.
- Troubleshoot complex issues involving firewalls, VPNs, DNS, TCP/IP, VLANs, and remote systems.
- Assist with server architecture, hardware selection, configuration, deployment, testing, and ongoing support.
- Serve as the primary onsite technical resource for escalated issues requiring advanced troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with managed service providers, external vendors, and internal IT support teams to maintain system performance and reliability.
- Support critical command center systems and operational technology.
- Lead technical implementation of business applications, platforms, and system integrations.
- Manage application configuration, testing, deployment, and production handoff.
- Design and implement SSO, MFA, and automated user provisioning.
- Configure and troubleshoot identity integrations using SAML, OIDC, and Microsoft Entra ID.
- Develop integrations, automation, and reporting solutions using APIs, PowerShell, and SQL.
- Ensure applications are secure, scalable, properly configured, and effectively supported.
- Partner with the Director of Technology Projects and Programs to plan and execute technology initiatives.
- Own assigned projects from initial requirements through successful implementation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, vendors, and technology partners to meet project milestones.
- Support implementation and expansion of cloud-based video storage and archive solutions.
- Manage technical rollouts involving video management systems, software upgrades, licensing, security, and testing.
- Identify project risks, troubleshoot implementation challenges, and recommend effective solutions.
- Evaluate new technologies and vendors through hands-on testing and technical assessments.
- Maintain accurate technical documentation, system configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Support cybersecurity initiatives, identity management, access controls, and change-management processes.
- Assist with security audits, compliance documentation, and SOC 2-related requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve system performance, streamline processes, and automate repetitive tasks.
- Communicate technical information clearly to technical and non-technical teams.
