Systems Analyst II, Epic Business
About The Position
WakeMed is hiring a Systems Analyst II to support the design, build, implementation, optimization, and ongoing support of Epic applications across the organization. The role partners with Information Services, operational departments, and Epic to deliver technology solutions that support clinical and business workflows. The analyst leads application enhancements, troubleshoots complex issues, analyzes business needs, and helps end users get value from their systems. The position requires experience in systems analysis and the ability to gather requirements, assess workflows, configure applications, test solutions, and support end users. The analyst collaborates with technical teams, operational departments, vendors, and other stakeholders. Requirements
- At least 3 years of information technology systems analysis experience.
- Ability to gather requirements, analyze workflows, configure applications, test solutions, and support end users.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams, operational departments, vendors, and stakeholders.
Nice To Haves
- Associate degree in Business, Healthcare, Technology, or a related field preferred.
- Epic certification in an area of responsibility preferred.
- Licensure or certification applicable to the field of practice preferred.
Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis, design, configuration, testing, and implementation of Epic application enhancements and change requests to meet business and clinical needs.
- Provide Tier 2 application support by investigating, troubleshooting, and resolving complex system and workflow issues in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with operational teams to evaluate workflows, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend technology solutions that support organizational goals.
- Partner with reporting teams to develop report specifications and ensure operational, regulatory, and compliance reporting requirements are met.
- Create and maintain application documentation, communicate system changes, and support end-user education to promote successful adoption and ongoing support.
