FBI - Systems Administrator - CI Poly REQUIRED
About The Position
cFocus Software seeks a Systems Administrator to support a program for the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). This position is on-site in Huntsville, Alabama, and requires an active TS/SCI clearance with a CI Polygraph. The Systems Administrator installs, configures, and maintains software components across Enterprise GIS platforms. The role includes managing software installations and upgrades, applying patches and configuration changes to address security vulnerabilities, monitoring and tuning GIS tools, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring system recoverability through scheduled system and database backups.
Requirements
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph.
- B.S. in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 5 years of Systems Administration experience.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working on Geospatial programs.
- Familiarity with the ESRI suite.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain software components on Enterprise GIS platforms.
- Perform installations and upgrades of operating systems, commercial software, and custom software applications and extensions.
- Ensure commercial software is provisioned and licensed in accordance with software agreements managed by the Government.
- Schedule and perform installations for major software releases and patches.
- Apply patches and configuration changes to address security vulnerabilities.
- Monitor and tune Enterprise GIS tools to achieve optimum performance.
- Identify and troubleshoot technical issues affecting the performance and availability of geospatial tools, interfaces, and data.
- Ensure system recoverability by implementing a schedule of system backups and database backup operations.
