About The Position

This role accomplishes Information Systems Departmental objectives by managing the Systems Administrator and Support Staff. The manager will maintain system admin staff by selecting, orienting, and training employees, and developing personal growth paths. They will communicate job expectations, plan, monitor, and appraise job performance, and coach, counsel, and discipline employees. This role also involves developing and enforcing S&T Bank systems, procedures, and productivity standards. The manager will participate in developing and achieving strategic goals by providing pertinent business, service, and operations information, identifying and evaluating options, choosing a course of action, defining objectives, and evaluating outcomes. They will manage financial objectives by forecasting requirements, assisting with the annual budget, scheduling expenditures, analyzing variances, and initiating corrective actions. Maintaining quality service by enforcing quality and customer service standards, analyzing and resolving quality and customer service problems, identifying trends, and recommending system improvements is also a key responsibility. The manager will assume accountability for complex issues by providing advanced support through all channels until full resolution is achieved. Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending educational training/workshops, establishing personal networks, benchmarking state-of-the-art practices, and participating in professional organizations is expected. The role involves managing system upgrade projects and maintaining proper documentation in accordance with the bank’s project lifecycle, documentation standards, and change management procedures. Ensuring all new releases/updates for core banking applications are implemented in a timely manner and communicated to end users by leading the FIS PACE committee to review and identify applicable changes, identify and document validation requirements, and identify and document communication plans is crucial. The manager will also handle FIS Managed IT escalation issues and develop Managed IT Knowledgebase articles as they pertain to system administration and troubleshooting for the FIS Managed IT Service Desk. Collaboration with the IT Solutions Architect Team to transition Administrative support as required is also part of the role. Other tasks and duties as assigned will also be completed.

Requirements

  • Ten plus years general experience
  • Two to five years of specialized experience with application support management.
  • Operates a keypad device: 90% of the day.
  • Requires the use of manual dexterity skills for typing and data entry on a frequent basis, up to 60% of the business day.
  • Possess the ability to focus visually at a close distance of 18”-20” for a period of up to 60% of the business day.
