About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to work onsite at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The role maintains the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and monitors system resources and performance. It also supports systems security administration, system software installation, storage allocation, system documentation, backup and recovery, and computing resource policies and standards. The position involves coordinating with network engineers, interacting with users, evaluating vendor products, and making recommendations about hardware and software.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience, or 4 years of experience without a degree.
Current TS/SCI clearance and ability to obtain a C/I Poly.
U.S. citizenship.
SecurityPlus certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network engineers.
Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times, to maintain operating efficiency.
Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
Set up administrator accounts and maintain system documentation.
Tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
Recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installation, and provide backup recovery.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocating and using computing resources.
