About The Position

Peraton is seeking a Systems Administrator to work onsite at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. The role maintains the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems and their resources, performs systems security administration, and supports users and computing infrastructure. It may also involve system configuration, documentation, performance tuning, software installation, storage allocation, product evaluation, hardware and software purchasing recommendations, installation coordination, backup recovery, and the development and monitoring of resource-use policies and standards.

Requirements

A bachelor's degree with 0 years of experience, or no degree with 4 years of experience.
Current TS/SCI clearance and the ability to obtain a C/I Poly.
U.S. citizenship.
Security+ certification.

Responsibilities

Maintain the smooth operation of multi-user computer systems, coordinating with network engineers.
Monitor and manage system resources, including CPU usage, disk usage, and response times, to maintain operating efficiency.
Perform systems security administration functions, including creating user profiles and accounts.
Set up administrator accounts and maintain system documentation.
Tune system performance, install system-wide software, and allocate mass storage space.
Interact with users and evaluate vendor products.
Recommend hardware and software purchases, coordinate installations, and provide backup recovery.
Develop and monitor policies and standards for allocating and using computing resources.
