The Principal responsibility is to provide highly effective technical support for DTI’s technical infrastructure. Highly effective means that the services for the assigned assets are provided in a way that is efficient, meets the needs of the customers (both DTI and other state agencies) and customers in compliance with DTI policy and procedures. The services will be primarily rendered through a combination of personal effort, joint effort with others in the workgroup, and collaboration with other DTI staff, vendors, and customers. The Associate Analyst will report to the System Administration Manager. The incumbent is expected to possess modest technical proficiency in at least one of the core Technology Domains and an aptitude for learning in the rest. The Technology Domains include the following: Server Infrastructure, Microsoft Technologies, Linux VMWare Virtualization Database Project Management Web Engineering Support and Planning

Requirements

Possess a minimum of 1 year of technical experience in one or more of the core technical requirements and related product support in a 24x7 operational environment.
Mid-Range Server Support – Red Hat/Oracle LINUX, Windows Server
Middleware Support – SFTP, WebSphere, WebLogic, Apache, Tomcat, IIS
Web Engineering Support – CI/CD, Observability, F5, GitOps
Configuration Management – Ansible or other configuration management tools, OTel
Data Center Support

Nice To Haves

Possess an Associates Degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.

Responsibilities

Provide highly effective technical support for DTI’s technical infrastructure.
Ensure services for assigned assets are provided efficiently and meet customer needs.
Maintain compliance with DTI policy and procedures.
Render services through personal effort, joint effort with others, and collaboration with DTI staff, vendors, and customers.
Provide 1st level technical support to troubleshoot virtual server/software related issues.
Execute backup/recovery procedures.
Perform monitoring.
