System Value Optimization Engineer

GE Vernova
•$89,300 - $148,700

About The Position

This systems engineering role applies a cross-functional approach to meeting business and technical customer needs and delivering quality products. It involves designing, creating, and optimizing systems from concept through production and operation by identifying and quantifying system requirements, developing and comparing design concepts, selecting and implementing designs, and verifying system integration and execution. The role impacts the quality of the employee’s own work and that of the team, and performs operational and technical tasks under established instructions and routines, with latitude to adjust task order as circumstances change. The engineer conducts component and product integration to support performance and operability; manages system requirements, specifications, and their flow-down; and drives product or system validation and verification, including system-level testing. The role defines requirements for modules, components, subcontractors, and partner teams; manages interfaces between components and execution organizations; drives critical-to-quality and risk trade-offs; and oversees product configuration and configuration control. The position calls for growing technical knowledge, an understanding of business drivers and cross-team contributions, and the use of technical judgment to resolve issues within established procedures. It may involve some autonomy and leading junior team members. In customer-facing situations, the engineer develops customer relationships, serves as an interface between the customer and GE, and explains technical information.
