About The Position

WOW! is hiring a hands-on System Technician to maintain and support its HFC network in the field. The role focuses on keeping network connections reliable for homes and businesses through troubleshooting, repair, testing, equipment maintenance, fiber work, outage response, and preventative maintenance. Technicians work outdoors in varied weather, use tools and equipment, operate company vehicles, and interact with customers while representing WOW!. The role offers paid training, certification-related pay increases, and opportunities for quarterly bonuses.

Requirements

• Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical customers.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Comfort learning technical skills and using tools.

• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and an on-call rotation.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Experience maintaining, troubleshooting, or repairing HFC networks is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair HFC (Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial) networks.
• Test and optimize signal performance.
• Maintain network equipment, including nodes, fiber systems, and power supplies.
• Perform fiber splicing and activation.
• Respond to outages and support emergency restoration.
• Conduct preventative maintenance and system balancing.
• Identify signal leakage and ensure compliance.
• Support network expansion and serviceability.
• Deliver excellent customer service while representing WOW!.
