About The Position

NextGen Security LLC is seeking an experienced electronic security installation technician to join its team. The role involves installing field cabling and equipment, performing some system programming, and activating and commissioning projects. Some travel may be required. The position is based in Exton, Pennsylvania, and is full-time and non-exempt. A company vehicle is provided; employees must be at least 21 years old to operate a company-owned, leased, or rented vehicle on the company’s behalf.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience installing and maintaining electronic access control systems and IP-based video management systems.
Networking and IT knowledge.
Ability to safely operate a company vehicle; drivers must be at least 21 years old.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Familiarity with local electronic security codes and industry standards.
Understanding of how to work safely in a chemical plant environment.
Experience with Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word, and Excel.

Nice To Haves

Access control vendor certifications in Software House, Genetec, ProWatch, Lenel, or similar systems.
Video management system vendor certifications in Genetec, OnSSI, MaxPro, Milestone, or similar systems.
Intrusion detection system vendor certifications in Senstar/Optellios or FFT.
Experience with computer operating systems, network design, and implementation.
TWIC cardholder.
