About The Position

The System Engineer will implement advanced ArcGIS deployments, analyze and solve technical problems, optimize system performance and organization, and consult with end users on enterprise deployment, architecture, and integration. The role supports Defense and Intelligence clients and works with a cross-functional team to deliver web and mobile capabilities. It is part of the Professional Services organization, which provides consulting and implementation services to clients. The position is permanent and fully onsite in St. Louis, Missouri. Relocation assistance may be available for candidates moving to the area.

Requirements

At least 8 years of professional experience in a similar position supporting similar responsibilities.
Experience designing, implementing, and/or administering enterprise ArcGIS or comparable IT systems, including desktop, server, and online systems.
Broad system administration experience on Windows and/or Linux.
Working knowledge of at least one scripting or programming language, such as Python, PowerShell, JavaScript, or C#.
Familiarity with networking concepts such as domains, directories, DNS, HTTPS, firewalls, proxies, and load balancing.
Experience with at least one RDBMS and writing SQL queries, such as SQL Server, Oracle, or PostgreSQL.
U.S. citizenship and an active or current (within two years of active) Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.

Nice To Haves

Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), or a STEM-related field.
One or more industry-standard IT certifications, such as Esri, Microsoft, or Amazon certifications.
CompTIA Security+ certification.
Experience with Esri software, including ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Online, Portal for ArcGIS, ArcGIS Runtime, and associated APIs or interfaces.
Experience with cloud-based system operations (SysOps).

Responsibilities

Deploy and configure ArcGIS across varied operating systems, cloud providers, security architectures, customer types, and organizations to meet service-level agreements.
Plan and execute content migrations between ArcGIS deployments with differing architectures, deployment strategies, and software components.
Troubleshoot advanced ArcGIS deployments and provide guidance on platform components such as storage, networking, and security.
Work with customers and partners to identify, design, and certify GIS workflows for the ArcGIS platform.
Collaborate internally to align customer technical objectives and business goals with the technology platform.
