About The Position

Esri is hiring a Product Engineer II to help develop ArcGIS Monitor, an observability platform for enterprise ArcGIS deployments. The role helps define capabilities that use telemetry to monitor system health, performance, and usage across traditional and cloud infrastructure, software components, and operational metrics. The platform helps organizations understand system behavior, detect anomalies, optimize performance, and plan future capacity. The product is evolving to incorporate AI-assisted and agentic operations, including natural-language interaction with system telemetry. The role contributes to capabilities for system health inquiries, capacity forecasting, root cause analysis, maintenance planning, and AI-assisted troubleshooting and remediation. This includes defining workflows, evaluating AI-assisted features, validating recommendations against realistic enterprise scenarios, and helping establish safe operational boundaries and human-in-the-loop processes. The engineer works across software development, testing, product design, automation, and user support. The role also creates and reviews documentation, helps communicate user needs throughout the product lifecycle, and provides best practices, demonstrations, and technical assistance.
