System Engineer II - New Glenn

Blue Origin•Space Coast, WA

About The Position

This role supports the development and operations of New Glenn, a reusable, human-capable heavy-lift orbital launch vehicle designed to carry people and payloads to Earth orbit and beyond. The engineer works across subsystems, applying systems engineering practices and technical skills to develop integrated solutions. The role supports the development of program systems engineering processes and their consistent implementation, and serves in a systems integration capacity with multidisciplinary teams to develop technical system solutions. The engineer supports requirements definition, validation, and verification at all program levels using tools such as DOORS Next Gen, system lifecycle configuration management tools, and functional analysis toolsets. The work includes requirements analysis and traceability, functional and systems analysis, safety analysis, technical performance monitoring, verification planning and closure, and test plan development. The role also helps align systems engineering practices from system-level through lower-level program tiers, participates in gated reviews, and develops health metrics to monitor program health and progress toward major milestones.
