Blue Origin is hiring a Systems Engineer II to support the development and operations of New Glenn and directly support National Security Space Launch contracts as part of the Customer Certification team within Mission Management. The team includes Program Managers and Systems Engineers responsible for obtaining and maintaining vehicle certification for NSSL and NASA customer missions. The role supports pedigree review planning and processes to verify the New Glenn vehicle’s hardware and software fabrication, assembly, inspection, test data, build paperwork, engineering-baseline departures, non-conformance data, test anomalies, and storage and transportation history for a specific mission. The engineer owns a complete project or work scope end to end, including the schedule, WBS, resource plan, risk register, and risk-abatement plans, and drives cross-functional commitments with function leads, suppliers, and program managers. With guidance, the role represents readiness and escalations to executive leadership. The successful candidate develops positive relationships across the New Glenn program and with US government partners at the US Space Force and NASA. They plan complex products across technical subject areas and develop, deliver, and communicate results in response to government certification requests in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. The position requires travel within the United States and abroad.
