About The Position
This role involves the design, implementation, and management of VMware Tanzu environments, including overseeing the deployment, scaling, and management of Kubernetes clusters. The position requires containerizing existing applications for seamless integration into Kubernetes, monitoring system performance, and troubleshooting Tanzu and Kubernetes-related issues. Collaboration with development teams for application deployment and integration, providing technical guidance, and leading product evaluations are key aspects of this role. The candidate must be prepared to work in a 24/7 environment.
Requirements
- Experience designing, implementing, and managing VMware Tanzu environments
- Experience with deployment, scaling, and management of Kubernetes clusters
- Experience containerizing applications and integrating them into Kubernetes environments
- Experience with Cloud computing
- Experience with server, desktop, and application virtualization technologies
- Experience with vRA Pipelines
- Experience with NSX/AVI Load Balancers
- Experience with scripting languages and tools: PowerShell, YAML, Python, Ansible
- Experience with Datadog Monitoring, Flux, Helm Charts
- Understanding of SDLC and application architecture
- Experience diagnosing and troubleshooting system problems in complex, heterogeneous systems
- Experience using diagnostic, monitoring, problem management, and change management tools
- Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve issues
- Experience monitoring system performance and implementing improvements for efficiency and scalability
- Experience working with development teams to support application deployment and integration
- Ability to provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders
- Experience leading product evaluations, planning, requirements gathering, testing, recommending, and implementing solutions
- Operating Systems Experience Required: 4-6 years
