About The Position

Responsible for performing high volume cash and non-cash transactions with internal and external guests in a courteous, accurate, and timely manner. Performs daily tasks in the cage operations areas, including table fills and table credits. The role involves working in Cage front window/Chip Bank and other employee service areas, as well as other assigned departmental areas. Duties include General Check Cashing, Cash Advances, CR transactions, Sportsbook transactions, and other Casino cashier transactions. Assists in the issuance and payment of Casino Credit instruments. Maintains accurate transaction and auditable balancing practices, and strict adherence to department policies and procedures to maintain the integrity of the cash operation. Requires a strong knowledge of Title 31 requirements. Also involves replenishing and balancing ticket redemption machines. Conveys a consistently professional, friendly, and courteous manner in interactions with all guests and employees. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • Must be 21 years of age or older.
  • Proficient in English verbal and written.
  • Ability to read general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write simple reports, correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
  • High school diploma or GED plus a combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Knowledge, skills, and abilities to work with personal computers, gaming devices, safety equipment, etc.
  • Strong mathematical ability.
  • Ability to work in a physical demanding area.
  • Familiarity with a high volume and fast paced environment.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry.
  • Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
  • Must have an outgoing, energetic and enthusiastic attitude.
  • Must be comfortable initiating conversations and creating a fun environment with guests.
  • Flexible with working various shifts, weekends, holidays, and long hours if applicable.
  • Must be able regularly push/pull or lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally push/pull or lift up to 25 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities such as close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
  • Regularly required to stand up to 8 hours, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. reach with hands and arms, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl and talk or hear.
  • Occasionally required to sit and taste or smell.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a license from the Indiana Gaming Commission.
  • Will require access to all general areas of the gaming facility and the cage/main bank areas.
  • Must regularly access patron personal data including credit information.
  • Ability to work in an environment where you are exposed to secondary smoke, frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts, occasionally exposed to outside weather conditions, and the noise level in the working environment is usually high.

  • Perform Table Fills and Table credits, high volume EGD jackpots, issuance of venue banks, and employee transactions.
  • Compute all monetary transactions.
  • Perform General Check Cashing, Cash Advances, CR transactions, Sportsbook transactions, and other Casino cashier transactions.
  • Assist in the issuance and payment of Casino Credit instruments.
  • Maintain accurate transaction and auditable balancing practices.
  • Maintain strict adherence to department policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a strong knowledge of Title 31 requirements.
  • Replenish and balance ticket redemption machines.
  • Convey a consistently professional, friendly, and courteous manner in interactions with all guests and employees.
