This role involves handling all monetary transactions within daily Cage Operations, including cage cashiering, chip bank, marker bank, poker bank, ES cashiering, and impressment cashiering. The Cage Cashier will distribute monies to guests, process transactions for other departments, and ensure efficiency and accuracy. A key responsibility is maintaining the integrity and accountability of company funds in accordance with regulations. The position also supports the poker room by managing traffic flow, registering players, and announcing available seats. Specific duties include exchanging chips for currency and managing chip banks. Additionally, the role involves managing marker bankers, including inventory of markers, front money deposits, safekeeping deposits, and returned checks. The Cage Cashier is responsible for replenishing currency and coin for Ticket Redemption Units (TRUs), monitoring their levels, processing impressments, preparing worksheets and reports, and coordinating TRU close processes. This includes handling TITO and Currency Drops from Soft Count, understanding TRU software, and performing minor maintenance. The role also involves guest interaction to encourage Players Club membership, processing new applications, maintaining knowledge of the player tracking system, assisting members with redemptions, and processing credit applications. Cage Cashiers may also operate as sports writers in the on-site Sportsbook, inputting betting information, printing tickets, accepting money, and reconciling transactions. The overarching goal is to provide an entertaining, exciting, and memorable guest experience while promoting superior guest service.
