About The Position

The Director of Physical Security Governance & Protective Intelligence leads the Bank's enterprise physical security governance program. The role establishes strategy, policy, standards, risk assessment methodology, oversight, reporting, and continuous improvement expectations to protect employees, customers, facilities, and other physical assets. It serves as the Bank's senior advisor for physical security risk, protective intelligence, threat management, workplace violence prevention, executive threat concerns, and law enforcement coordination. Day-to-day physical security operations—including monitoring, dispatch, access administration, guard services, equipment maintenance, and frontline incident response—are performed by designated operational teams. This role provides program direction, oversight, independent review, and constructive challenge rather than daily operational command. The position develops and maintains the enterprise physical security strategy, governance framework, policies, standards, control requirements, risk assessment criteria, and multi-year program roadmap. It oversees operations, control execution, incident management, technology services, and third-party performance; conducts enterprise and location-based risk assessments; maintains the risk register and executive metrics; and develops protective intelligence and threat management capabilities. It also advises senior leaders, coordinates with law enforcement and other information-sharing partners, supports significant incident and investigation governance, and provides risk and governance input on physical security technologies, vendors, audits, regulatory examinations, crisis management, and emergency preparedness. The role collaborates across the Bank and prepares executive- and board-level reporting on physical security risk, program maturity, significant events, emerging threats, and remediation status. The position requires quarterly travel for onsite meetings. Candidates must acquire and maintain proficiency in Bank policies and procedures, comply with applicable laws and regulations, and complete assigned compliance training on time.
