WesBanco Bank, Inc.•Bowie, MD
•$170,000 - $180,000

About The Position

The Director of Physical Security Governance & Protective Intelligence leads the Bank’s enterprise physical security governance program. The role establishes strategy, policies, standards, risk assessment methodology, oversight, reporting, and continuous-improvement expectations to protect employees, customers, facilities, and other physical assets. The position serves as the Bank’s senior advisor on physical security risk, protective intelligence, threat management, workplace violence prevention, executive threat concerns, and law enforcement coordination. Day-to-day operations—including monitoring, dispatch, access administration, guard services, equipment maintenance, and frontline incident response—are performed by designated operational teams. This role provides program direction, oversight, independent review, and constructive challenge rather than daily operational command. The Director develops and maintains the enterprise physical security strategy, governance framework, and multi-year roadmap; oversees risk assessments, the risk register, metrics, and executive reporting; and establishes risk-based standards for physical security technology, vendors, and third parties. The role also advises on significant incidents, investigations, crisis management, emergency preparedness, business continuity, workplace violence prevention, audits, and regulatory examinations. It builds relationships across the Bank and with law enforcement, government, intelligence, and industry partners, and prepares executive- and board-level reporting. The position requires a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field or substantial relevant law enforcement, intelligence, or military leadership experience that may substitute for the degree. It also requires at least ten years of relevant progressively responsible experience and at least five years leading programs, personnel, investigations, intelligence activities, governance functions, or cross-functional risk initiatives. Quarterly travel for onsite meetings is expected. The listed wage range is $170,000–$180,000 annually.
