About The Position

The Suspension/Lift Technician, also described as the Tire & Wheel / Alignment Technician (Service Specialist), oversees activity in the service and installation shop. The role includes ensuring shop safety guidelines are followed, completing paperwork, and maintaining shop inventory, products, tools, and equipment. It is a full-time opportunity with growth potential and a family atmosphere. Compensation is listed as $18.00–$23.00 per hour, with another stated range of $35,000–$50,000 with bonus.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience in the listed technician work.
Ability to install lift kits on trucks and leveling kits.
Ability to install brakes.
Ability to mount, balance, and install tires and wheels.
Ability to use tire mounting and balancing machines.
Ability to install vehicle lifts.
Well-versed in alignments.
Strong knowledge of light front-end work.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and organize heavy products.
Valid state driver's license with a clean driving history.
Must pass a drug screen and background check prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
Prior experience as a tire technician, wheel specialist, automotive technician, auto tech, or alignment tech is helpful for success.

Responsibilities

Oversee activity in the installation shop.
Ensure shop safety guidelines are followed and paperwork is completed.
Maintain shop inventory, products, tools, and equipment.
Place product and supply orders.
Organize delivered merchandise.
Identify and properly tag returned products.
Clean and maintain returned products.
Maintain an organized inventory system.
Control parts spending.
Perform truck lift kit and leveling kit installations, brake installations, tire and wheel mounting, balancing and installation, vehicle lift installations, alignments, and light front-end work.
