About The Position

RNR Tire Express is a national franchise retailer of tires and custom wheels with convenient payment options. The Suspension/Lift Technician, also described as a Tire & Wheel / Alignment Technician (Service Specialist), oversees activity in the service and installation shop. The role helps ensure shop safety, completes paperwork, maintains shop inventory, products, tools, and equipment, and supports customers. This is a full-time opportunity with a family atmosphere and potential for future growth. Compensation is listed as $18.00–$23.00 per hour, with a description also stating $35,000–$50,000 with bonus.

Requirements

At least 3 years of experience.
Ability to install lift kits on trucks and leveling kits.
Ability to install brakes.
Ability to mount, balance, and install tires and wheels and use tire-mounting and balancing machines.
Ability to install vehicle lifts and perform alignments.
Strong knowledge of light front-end work.
Ability to lift 50 pounds unassisted and lift and organize heavy products.
Valid state driver's license with a clean driving history.
Ability to pass a drug screen and background check; a background check is required prior to hire.

Nice To Haves

ASE Certification is preferred but not required.
Prior experience as a tire technician, wheel specialist, automotive technician, auto tech, or alignment tech.

Responsibilities

Oversee activity in the service and installation shop.
Ensure shop safety guidelines are followed and paperwork is completed.
Maintain shop inventory, products, tools, and equipment.
Place product and supply orders.
Organize delivered merchandise.
Identify and properly tag returned products.
Clean and maintain returned products.
Maintain an organized inventory system and control parts spending.
Perform lift-kit and leveling-kit installations, brake installation, tire and wheel mounting, balancing and installation, vehicle-lift installation, alignments, and light front-end work.
