About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Officer in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The officer monitors security systems and screens to detect suspicious activity and potential threats, documents events and incidents, responds to incidents, patrols the premises, controls access to secure areas, and helps protect people and property. The role may be assigned to one of several full-time schedules, including first- and second-shift hours and weekend work. The hourly wage is $20.40. Uniforms are provided at no cost, and GardaWorld will pay for and assist with obtaining an Iowa Security License. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Demonstrate strong proficiency with technology.
• Be at least 21 years old for driving positions or at least 18 years old for non-driving positions.
• Have a valid driver’s license for driving positions.
• Be available to work holidays.
• Be able to obtain and maintain an Iowa Security License through the Iowa Department of Public Safety.
