About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Guard to monitor security systems and identify threats before they escalate. The role is based in Shoreview, Minnesota, and is scheduled full-time Tuesday through Saturday, 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The guard monitors surveillance systems, responds to incidents, conducts patrols, controls access, documents events, and helps protect people and property. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Have military, law enforcement, or security experience, or be currently enrolled in or have completed an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or Peace Officer & Public Safety.
• Have a state license if required.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening after an offer of employment is extended.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
