About The Position

GardaWorld Security Services is hiring a Surveillance Security Guard for a site in Shoreview, Minnesota. The role focuses on monitoring security systems and screens to identify suspicious activity and potential threats, documenting events, responding to incidents, and helping protect people and property. The position also includes conducting patrols, controlling access to secure areas, checking visitor identities, analyzing security systems for vulnerabilities or malfunctions, and collaborating with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.

This is a full-time position with a Tuesday-through-Saturday, third-shift schedule from 11 p.m. to 7 a.m. The hourly wage is $19.20. A uniform is provided at no cost. Employment is contingent on successfully completing a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Requirements

• Be authorized to work in the United States.
• Provide documentation of a high school diploma or GED.
• Pass an extensive screening process.
• Have strong report-writing skills.
• Have sharp visual activity and exceptional concentration skills.
• Have strong proficiency with technology.
• Have military, law enforcement, or security experience, or be currently enrolled in or have completed an associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Law Enforcement, or Peace Officer & Public Safety.
• Have a state license if required.
• Have a valid driver’s license and a clean driving record.
• Successfully complete a background check and drug screening after an offer is extended.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security systems to detect suspicious activity.
• Document observed events and incidents by writing detailed reports.
• Respond quickly to incidents or potential threats.
• Conduct regular patrols to help ensure the safety of the premises.
• Control access to secure areas and verify visitors’ identities.
• Analyze security systems to identify potential vulnerabilities or malfunctions.
• Collaborate with law enforcement during serious situations or emergencies.
• Help ensure the safety and protection of individuals and property.
