About The Position

The Surveillance Operator executes surveillance duties during an assigned shift to help protect the life and property of customers, associates, and the company. The role involves monitoring property, documenting and reporting unusual or suspicious activity, inspecting premises for safety and security hazards, and reviewing surveillance footage and reports. The operator provides professional guest service, supports the company’s culture, maintains accurate records, and shares information with appropriate company officials and outside agencies as needed. The operator may also be designated officer-in-charge to supervise a shift.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Provide excellent service to internal and external guests and interact with customers and associates in a positive, professional manner.
Support the company culture of creating a fun and entertaining experience for internal and external guests.
Generate written reports about security-related incidents involving guests, associates, or the facility.
Attend regularly scheduled departmental meetings to facilitate information flow.
Observe, document, videotape, and report unusual or suspicious activity on the property.
Inspect the premises for potential safety or security hazards and report them to the appropriate individual or entity for resolution.
Review surveillance tapes and reports, providing detailed information to appropriate company officials and outside agencies as needed.
Maintain accurate and thorough departmental records and reports.
Make suggestions and recommendations about possible policy and procedure changes in other departments to help protect company assets.
Maintain working knowledge of company facilities and special events on property to monitor customers and associates whenever possible.
May serve as officer-in-charge and function as a shift supervisor.
Perform other duties as assigned.
