About The Position

The Surveillance Operator is responsible for the consistent and strategic surveillance of the gaming floor and observation of operators throughout the shift. This role ensures all equipment is operational, documents and reports malfunctions, and maintains strict confidentiality. The operator will also record gaming transactions, address barred patrons, and support law enforcement and KHRC officials when necessary. Additionally, the role involves providing excellent customer service to internal guests.

Requirements

Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
Thorough knowledge, or ability to learn, of security equipment operation.
Third shift availability.
Must pass all required pre-screening and background checks.
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including day, swing, late-night, weekend, and holiday shifts as scheduled.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Kentucky gaming/racing license.

Responsibilities

Consistent and strategic surveillance of the gaming floor and observation of operators.
Ensuring all equipment is operational and documenting/reporting malfunctions.
Properly documenting surveillance activities.
Completing all incident reports accurately and in a timely manner.
Securing all potential evidence from CCTV video recordings.
Adhering to strict confidentiality in all matters related to property Surveillance.
Making statements to police officials when involved in an incident with law enforcement, as directed by Surveillance Management.
Utilizing proper radio etiquette.
Cooperating with KHRC Officials and the police as directed to support a positive working relationship.
Effectively recording all gaming transactions in accordance with all policies, procedures, and regulatory guidance.
Following all policies and procedures as they relate to addressing barred patrons.
Informing the Surveillance Assistant Manager or above of all significant incidents in the absence of the Surveillance Supervisor.
Providing BIG Service to internal guests and ensuring their complete satisfaction.
