About The Position

Command Investigations, LLC is seeking Surveillance Investigators to conduct field surveillance investigations and document subjects’ activities for client review. Investigators observe, track, and record subjects in varied settings, capturing video evidence and preparing detailed reports. The work requires discretion, sound judgment, independence, and adaptability in a fast-paced investigative environment. The position is performed on the road and may involve overnight stays. Schedules vary by case and may include early starts, weekends, holidays, and overtime; shifts are typically eight hours but may range from 12 to 16 hours. The company notes that hours and case assignments are not guaranteed, while available cases are distributed fairly and schedules may be discussed in advance. Pay is $22–$27 per hour, depending on state.

Requirements

0–1 years of experience required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must carry personal auto insurance with liability limits of 100k/300k/100k.
Computer skills, including the ability to upload video and still images from a camera into an electronic system.
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
Ability to work independently, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Flexibility and effective time management.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Regular, predictable, and full attendance as assigned.
Willingness to travel and work the required schedule, with starts as early as 3:00 AM.
Complete a Command Investigations, LLC employment application and any other required pre-employment tasks.
Required equipment includes a reliable vehicle with legal dark tint, smartphone, laptop with Microsoft Word, digital camcorder with date/time stamp and upload capability, covert camera of choice, tripod or monopod, and SD cards if applicable.

Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance by monitoring, tracking, and recording subjects during daily activities.
Perform vehicular and on-foot surveillance while maintaining cover and discretion.
Develop and execute pre-surveillance plans tailored to each location and case.
Record and document investigative findings through video and detailed written reports.
Capture subjects in public spaces, at events, and in workplaces.
Submit comprehensive reports and video evidence within required timeframes.
Communicate with team leaders about positions, observations, and tactical strategy.
Use digital surveillance equipment, web-based technology, and investigative software.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing Command Investigations.
Follow safety standards and legal and ethical requirements during surveillance operations.
