As the Surplus Inventory Control Specialist 2, you will work under the general direction of the Surplus Supervisor. Your primary responsibilities include receiving WSU surplus property and determining its viability for resale or recycling. This involves driving box trucks around the Pullman campus to collect items, evaluating them for fair market value, and listing them for sale through online auctions. You will also be responsible for notifying priority and public entities about available items, setting up and conducting weekly public sales and live auctions, and utilizing computers and related software to complete your tasks. Facilities Services, where this position is located, focuses on the stewardship, maintenance, and operations of campus buildings, grounds, and utilities on the Pullman campus, aiming to be a service provider and employer of choice.
