About The Position

Act for and assist the Finance Director in developing, implementing and executing policies and procedures for the operation of the storeroom, inventory, shipping & receiving and fixed asset management program of the Ohio Expositions Commission (OEC). Work closely with all departments to serve and assist them in achieving agency mission, goals and objectives, where storeroom, inventory, fixed assets and receiving functions are concerned. Serve as liaison for agency and department heads, administrative services, outside vendors and lessees of the facilities in matters pertaining to OEC storeroom inventory, shipping & receiving and fixed asset management program. Represent OEC at meetings and seminars regarding storeroom operation, inventory procedures, inventory and fixed asset management. Direct, supervise and monitor part-time delivery worker and seasonal employees. Evaluate work performance and offer corrective guidance when necessary. Compose correspondence to and meet with department heads and superintendents periodically to discuss operation of storeroom (e.g., inventory control, purchasing, receiving, storing, delivery of materials, supplies, tools, equipment and parts). Maintain and implement all storeroom and receiving procedures, including the labor and work necessary to operate the storeroom in an effective manner. Research, analyze, evaluate and assist in the development of policies and procedures for the OEC storeroom operation. Develop technical information and provide advice and recommendations for making the storeroom operation more efficient and productive. Assist in developing new programs and activities (e.g., receiving, storing, taking inventory, issue and deliver materials, supplies, tools, equipment and parts to all departments for fair and non-fair). Develop and monitor the budget for the storeroom operation. Responsible for inventory control and maintaining a perpetual inventory of stock consisting of supplies, equipment and materials. Re-view and process requisitions for supplies, equipment and materials to ensure adequate inventory. Compile inventory reports, verify clerical inventory computations and reconcile to physical count of stock, investigate and report reasons for discrepancies. Responsible for the OEC fixed asset management program. Ensure that fixed assets are identified, labeled, tracked, maintained, etc. Conduct internal research and respond to various OEC inquiries regarding inventory control, asset management and overall store-room operation and policies. Requirements

  • 9 mos. exp. as Inventory Control Specialist, 64551.
  • -Or 18 mos. trg. or 18 mos. exp. in inventory control; 3 courses or 9 mos. exp. in electronic data processing related to inventory control; 1 course or 3 mos. exp. in public relations.
  • -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
  • Records Management
  • Must possess valid Driver's License.
