Surgical Technologist, Flex Team, PRN Baptist Downtown
About The Position
Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist with at least two years of experience to join its Flex Team. The role involves floating between campuses, including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room. The position offers PRN scheduling; full-time candidates are required to work three 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends. No on-call work is required. The Surgical Technologist contributes to a collaborative, patient-focused surgical environment and supports safe, efficient procedures. Candidates must have a high school diploma. Positions designated as requiring a Level II background screening are subject to detailed fingerprint-based state and national criminal history checks as a condition of employment and continued employment.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.
- High school diploma.
- Ability to float between campuses, including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and the progression of each case, and prepare accordingly.
- Ensure the proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
- Work with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
