Surgical Technologist, Flex Team, PRN Baptist Downtown
About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring an experienced Surgical Technologist for its Flex Team. The role offers PRN work and a flexible schedule. Full-time candidates must work three 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends. No on-call work is required. The Surgical Technologist floats between campuses, including the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus operating room, and contributes to a collaborative, patient-focused environment. Applicants must have at least two years of experience and a high school diploma. Positions designated as requiring a Level II Background Screening undergo detailed fingerprint-based state and national criminal history screening as a condition of employment and continued employment.
Requirements

Responsibilities
- Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and the progression of each case, and prepare accordingly.
- Ensure proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
- Work with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
