Surgical Technologist, Flex Team, Baptist Downtown
About The Position
Baptist Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist with at least two years of experience for its Flex Team. The position is full-time, with three 10-hour shifts per week and a flexible schedule. Weekend work is included, and no on-call duty is required. The technologist floats between campuses, including the operating room at the Baptist Medical Center Jacksonville campus, and works with the surgical team in a collaborative, patient-focused environment. The role requires a high school diploma. Positions designated as requiring a Level II background screening are subject to detailed fingerprint-based state and national criminal-history screening as a condition of employment and continued employment. The position is eligible for up to a $10,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience.

- Work three 10-hour shifts per week, including weekends.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
- Anticipate the surgeon’s needs and the progression of the case, and prepare accordingly.
- Ensure proper disposition of specimens and instruments.
- Work with the entire surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
