Ohio - CVOR Surg Tech (Open Heart) - Day Shift - Zanesville
About The Position
The Surgical Technologist will support cardiovascular operating room procedures, including Open Heart surgery, and may assist in General Surgery when CVOR volumes are low. The role is based in Zanesville, Ohio, and requires a graduate of an accredited surgical technology program and at least two years of recent Open Heart surgery experience. Excellent critical thinking skills and in-depth knowledge of central processing and instrumentation are essential. This is a day-shift role scheduled for 40 hours per week, with options to work four 10-hour days or five 8-hour shifts. The position includes on-call assignments, at least 2–3 days of call per week, weekend call coverage from the end of Friday’s shift until Monday morning, and required holiday coverage. Holiday call rotation may depend on the holiday calendar.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited surgical technology program.
- Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Open Heart surgery.
- Excellent critical thinking skills.
- In-depth knowledge of central processing and instrumentation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Nice To Haves
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
