About The Position
The RN General OR assesses patients before surgery, prepares and sterilizes the operating room, supports surgeons during procedures, monitors patients’ vital signs, and evaluates patients postoperatively. The role also reviews charts for completeness before and after surgical procedures in accordance with documentation protocols and adheres to relevant health and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Assess patients’ condition before surgery.
- Ensure the operating room is prepared with necessary supplies, implants, instrumentation, and equipment.
- Keep the operating room sterilized.
- Pass medical instruments to surgeons during operations.
- Monitor patients’ vital signs.
- Evaluate patients postoperatively.
- Review charts for completeness in accordance with documentation protocols before and after surgical procedures.
- Adhere to relevant health and safety standards.
