About The Position
The Surgical Technologist supports various surgical specialties by helping maintain a safe and efficient operating environment. The role involves preparing and handling surgical instruments and assisting the surgical team during procedures. The position is a 13-week contract in CST, OR, scheduled from 6:30 AM to 1:00 PM, with additional call responsibilities as needed.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience in a surgical setting.
- Experience in vascular procedures.
- Knowledge and skills in plastic reconstructive cases, specifically DIEP flaps and microsurgery.
- Familiarity with robotic-assisted surgeries, including bariatric, gynecological, general, and colorectal procedures.
- Experience in orthopedic surgeries focused on total joints.
Responsibilities
- Assist in preparing the operating room for surgeries.
- Manage and organize surgical instruments and supplies.
- Support the surgical team during procedures, ensuring instruments are available and functional.
- Maintain sterile conditions and follow infection control protocols.
- Participate in post-operative care and operating room cleanup.
