About The Position

Sanford Health is hiring a Surgical Technologist for its Sanford Broadway Medical Center in downtown Fargo. The role supports a fast-paced surgical team handling cases in surgical oncology, ear, nose and throat, robotics, gynecology, urology, colorectal, breast, plastics, oral and maxillofacial surgery, pain management, pediatric restorative dentistry, and kidney transplantation. Surgical technologists are an integral part of the team providing surgical care to patients.

The schedule rotates among shifts of 0630–1500, 0900–1730, and 1100–1930. Stay-late shifts and call shifts are assigned weekly. Each staff member can expect one call shift per week and one call weekend per month. On-call work is typically at the Broadway campus, but may involve covering General team call at Sanford Medical Center of Fargo as needed.

The salary range is $24.00–$38.50 per hour. Non-certified technologists start at $24 per hour; certified technologists start at $25.50 per hour, with pay increasing based on applicable work experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants who commit to two years of work. New graduates are welcome to apply, with or without certification.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
• Must be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry when employment begins.

Nice To Haves

• National certification is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the surgeon during surgical procedures, including preparing and organizing operating room instruments and supplies.
• Anticipate the surgeon’s needs during procedures.
