About The Position

Pathology Group of Louisiana (PGL), a physician-owned private practice with more than 50 years of experience, is seeking a fellowship-trained surgical pathologist for its Metairie, Louisiana office. The role is office-based and includes frozen-section coverage for local surgery centers. It is not hospital-based and involves minimal to no call. Autopsies are outsourced, and Pathologists' Assistants handle all grossing. The physician will join a collegial, collaborative, subspecialty-rich group and participate in tumor boards and committees. J-1 visa sponsorship is not available.

Requirements

• AP/CP board certified or board eligible.
• Surgical pathology fellowship required.
• Louisiana medical license, or eligibility to obtain one.

Responsibilities

• Provide surgical pathology services.
• Provide frozen-section coverage for local surgery centers.
• Participate in tumor boards and committees.
