About The Position

Virtua Medical Group, a physician-led organization of over 1,700 clinicians, is seeking to add a Surgical Oncologist to their dynamic and growing team. This is a full-time, employed position located near Philadelphia, offering easy access to major East Coast cities. The role is integrated within the Penn Medicine | Virtua Health Cancer Program, a NAPBC-accredited program supported by a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. The position involves shared surgery call and offers strong clinical support, including advanced practice providers and a dedicated surgical scheduler. The ideal candidate will have strong training in oncologic surgery, with exposure to minimally invasive techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery. Both experienced surgeons and candidates directly out of fellowship are welcome.

Requirements

Fellowship trained in Surgical Oncology.
Board certified or eligible in Surgical Oncology.
Strong training in oncologic surgery.
Exposure to minimally invasive techniques, including robotic-assisted surgery.

Responsibilities

Perform oncologic surgeries, including exposure to minimally invasive techniques and robotic-assisted surgery.
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including radiology, pathology, plastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology.
Provide comprehensive, patient-centered care.
Work closely with nurse navigators, genetic counselors, research coordinators, social workers, rehabilitation services (OT/PT), and home care teams.
Participate in shared surgery call rotation.
Provide care to patients of all ages.
