About The Position
Virtua Medical Group, a physician-led organization, is seeking an experienced Breast Surgeon to join their well-established and growing breast surgery team. This is a full-time, employed position within Virtua Health, a leading health system in Southern New Jersey. The breast surgeons and advanced practice providers in this role are 100% focused on breast care, offering comprehensive surgical treatment for patients with both benign and malignant breast conditions. The team utilizes the latest surgical techniques, technology, and equipment to ensure high-quality, patient-centered care. The role is integrated within the Penn Medicine | Virtua Health Cancer Program and the breast program is NAPBC-accredited, fostering collaboration among a multidisciplinary team. The position offers a supportive clinical structure, a strong referral network, and the opportunity to join a collegial team that values innovation and high-quality patient care.
Requirements
- Fellowship trained in breast surgery.
- Prior experience practicing as a breast surgeon.
- Board certified or board eligible.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with both benign and malignant breast disease.
- Utilize the latest surgical techniques, technology, and equipment.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including breast radiology, pathology, plastic surgery, medical oncology, and radiation oncology.
- Work closely with nurse navigators, genetic counselors, research coordinators, social workers, rehabilitation services, and home care teams.
- Participate in shared breast surgery call on a two-week rotation.
