About The Position

Directs the daily operation of scheduling inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures for Covenant Health. The role operates the surgical scheduling system and works with physician offices and hospital departments to coordinate procedures and related scheduling activities.

Requirements

No minimum experience is specified.
No licensure is required.
Any combination of formal education and/or prior work experience sufficient to demonstrate the knowledge, skill, and ability needed to perform the essential tasks; this is typically equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.

Responsibilities

Operate the surgical scheduling system.
Work with physician offices to schedule surgical procedures, including scheduling rooms, equipment, and other items as needed.
Communicate with applicable hospital departments regarding scheduling issues and related activities.
Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
Complete required annual education assignments.
Work toward achieving goals and objectives and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
Perform other duties as assigned.
