About The Position

Performs the scheduling function for Physician Practices and acts as a professional liaison for staff, other hospital personnel, medical staff, and physicians’ offices. The role requires specific knowledge of all clinical service lines for operating rooms at Northside surgical locations or affiliated Outpatient Surgery Centers. Additional skills include typing, experience using computerized documentation systems, strong customer service, and problem solving.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Nursing, or a related field, or five years of experience in a clerical healthcare setting.
• Demonstrated knowledge of medical terminology through prior healthcare experience, completion of a medical terminology course, or a passing score on the medical terminology assessment.
• Typing skills.
• Experience using computerized documentation systems.
• Strong customer service and problem-solving skills.
• Specific knowledge of clinical service lines for operating rooms at Northside surgical locations or affiliated Outpatient Surgery Centers.
