Supported Living/In-Home Program Manager
About The Position
Wall Residences is seeking a Supported Living/In-Home Program Manager to support adults with intellectual disabilities in the Staunton and Waynesboro, Virginia area. This role focuses on skill-building, managing routines, and providing general and safety supports to enable individuals to be successful in home and community-based settings. The program aims to optimize individual initiative, autonomy, and self-awareness. Supported Living provides 24-hour support for individuals to maintain independence in their own homes, including specialized supervision for health and safety, activities of daily living (ADLs), instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and general supports for personal growth and quality of life. The role involves developing and generalizing skills through skill-building to promote self-direction and social connections.
Requirements
- Clinical background with working knowledge of person-centered service development and positive behavior supports.
- Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
- Excellent references.
- Active driver's license with a good driving record.
- Pass a criminal background check with acceptable results.
Nice To Haves
- At least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD).
- Two years' experience supervising employees.
Responsibilities
- Develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals receiving services, and their families.
- Connect people to meaningful community activities.
- Provide skill-building to promote self-direction and social connections.
- Ensure an individual's health and safety.
- Address necessary activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
- Provide general supports necessary for personal growth and quality of life.
- Manage all aspects necessary for individuals to maintain independence in their own homes.
- Provide specialized supervision for ongoing or intermittent intervention.
