About The Position

Wall Residences is seeking a Supported Living/In-Home Program Manager to support adults with intellectual disabilities in the Staunton and Waynesboro, Virginia area. This role involves developing supportive relationships, connecting individuals to community activities, and overseeing in-home services that promote skill-building, independence, and self-direction. The program focuses on enabling individuals to acquire, retain, or improve skills necessary for success in home and community settings, optimizing their initiative, autonomy, and self-awareness. Supported Living provides 24-hour support, specialized supervision for health and safety, assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs), and general supports for personal growth and quality of life. The role also includes skill-building to promote self-direction and social connections.

Requirements

  • Clinical background with working knowledge of person-centered service development and positive behavior supports.
  • Bachelor's Degree in a Human Services field.
  • Excellent references.
  • Active driver’s license with a good driving record.
  • Acceptable criminal background check results.

Nice To Haves

  • At least one year of experience in the field of developmental disabilities (DD).
  • Two years’ experience supervising employees.

Responsibilities

  • Develop supportive relationships with Direct Support Professional Staff, individuals receiving services, and their families.
  • Connect people to meaningful community activities.
  • Oversee in-home services directed by the individual and their person-centered plan.
  • Support adults with intellectual disabilities in skill-building and managing routine, general, and safety supports.
  • Provide specialized supervision for ongoing or intermittent intervention.
  • Ensure an individual's health and safety.
  • Address necessary activities of daily living (ADLs) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADLs).
  • Provide general supports necessary for personal growth and quality of life.
  • Develop and/or generalize skills through skill building that promotes self-direction and social connections.
  • Act as a mandated reporter of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
